This past June, 26 storytellers pushing the boundaries of online media were invited to our first ever international event.
After two years of hosting creative retreats across the US, we recently expanded this mission further than we ever thought possible. 🏕️
Base Camp: France took place from June 26th - July 1st.

This Event’s Theme: “Creative Collaboration”
What does this mean?
When you find people who can match or complement your creative energy - the world opens up. The dreams once kept to yourself all of sudden feel more tangible and attainable than ever before.
This is what we aimed to explore at our fourth Base Camp — the power of creative collaboration. From introspective workshops about creating and writing to far-off village excursions, this week served as a container for the creators' ideas to roam.
What did this week entail?
We placed the cohort into curated pairings and prompted them to make one collaborative artwork by the end of the week. On the final night - we held a climatic showcase showcase of everyone’s projects.
Some of the works included: a 20-minute short film, mixed-media graphic designs, a discussion around online censorship & audience dynamics, a horror short, 3D-scanned self-portraits, and a few cinematic odes to the creative process.

“We all have the same dream in a way - it’s some form of expressing ourselves in our art. So, being able to share this experience with other like-minded people felt so fulfilling. As though we weren’t alone in our goals.”
